Ofsted - Green corn blowing in the wind

Ofsted

As with all government funded learning provision, Qube is in scope to be inspected by Ofsted. The overall aim of inspection is to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the provision of education and training in meeting the needs of learners.

The main purposes of inspection are to:

  • Provide users with information; this informs their choices and preferences about the effectiveness of the providers they use or may use in the future
  • Help bring about improvement by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, highlighting good practice and judging what steps need to be taken to improve provision further
  • Provide the relevant Secretaries of State and other stakeholders with an independent public account of the quality of education and training, the standards achieved and the efficiency with which resources are managed.

Qube has been graded as ‘2 – Good’ for overall effectiveness in 2010

Self Assessment & Quality Improvement

Our Self Assessment Report (SAR) allows us to look at our business in a very impartial way. Not only do we review the business as Managers and Directors, but from our employee’s, learner’s (and their employers) and associate’s points of view.

At selected times of the year, we send out questionnaires to all of our employees and a section of our current learners and their employers. We ask about our services, the training we provide, our means of communication, the learning resources we use and ask for suggestions as to how we can improve our service.

We have found that this kind of feedback and information is very valuable to us – we use our analysis to make improvements to continue the development of the business and to establish ourselves as a customer-focused training provider.
