Support for Key Skills

All Apprenticeships with Qube include Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication, at either Level 1 or Level 2. We are aware that some learners find the idea of testing their maths and English skills intimidating and in some cases distressing. With this in mind, we have devised a new programme of learning to run along side our Apprenticeships to support Key Skills.

Qube’s Support for Key Skills (SKS) programme is designed to give additional learning support to learners who are working towards their Apprenticeship but also have a learning level below level 1. With the guidance of their SKS Learning Advisor, learners will progress through the levels to be able to achieve their Key Skill projects and give them the ability and confidence to complete their Key Skills tests.

Some Apprenticeship programmes also include a third Key Skill in IT.
