Traineeship Student of the Month - Jade Brown
Student Name: Jade Brown
Employer: NHS – Salford Royal
Skills Tutor/Nominated by: Angela Bent
Jade has always longed to get into the NHS and has continuously been given the knock back. She heard about the traineeship opportunity and applied. She had an initial chat where her technical skills and competencies were tested, and she really impressed the learning and development team at the NHS. She started her placement in September and has been committed from day one. She has never been late or absent from work. She gets two buses each morning and evening and has never been phased by the fact that she is out of the house for around 9 hours a day. She sees this as her way in and that is what she is focused on. Everyone I talk to within the NHS tells me how amazing Jade is and how much of a hard worker she is. This is everything the Traineeship stands for and why I thoroughly believe in Traineeships as Jade is on track to starting a career in the NHS with so many opportunities to develop. Her end goal is to go to university (through the NHS) at 18 and train to be a nurse.
