Student Case Study: Scott Bruce – Joules

We caught up with Scott Bruce of the ‘Joules’ store in Cowes. Scott is doing the Level 3 Retail Team Leader Apprenticeship and has been on the programme since the 25 May 2021.

Scott told Qube: ‘I applied to complete an Apprenticeship to increase my knowledge base and learn more management styles and techniques as well as the business aspects. I love learning about anything I can and thought I would gain a lot and enjoy every step of the Apprenticeship to which so far has been great.’

‘I have thoroughly enjoyed the management theorists and learning about how different personality traits can affect your work and how they may also inspire increased efficiency and higher morale. I have learnt a lot about management styles that I never knew before, having worked with a lot of people I understand it well. However seeing it on paper, reflecting on previous employments and situations has been fascinating. This has given me a new insight into reading scenarios and how best to react to the situation at hand.’
