On 27th April 2008, on the River Thames near Marlow, some of Qube Learning’s staff, family and friends will be taking part in the “Wheelpower Dragon Boat Challenge!”
At least 11 of us will be crammed into a menacing looking dragon boat, with nothing but paddles and a drum to get us moving. We will be competing against 20 other teams and racing our dragon to raise money for Wheelpower.
Wheelpower is the national charity for wheelchair sport and they do great work in helping people who have become disabled to not only adjust but continue to enjoy sport and life as a whole. We feel this is a very good cause and will be after as much sponsorship money as possible from our business associates, employers, learners and anyone else we can find!
Of course, this will also be a fun day and anyone who wishes to come and support us is very welcome (as long as you bring some donation money!) You will be able to see us fighting it out in our Dragon Boat (and maybe even the river) at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre from 9am. You will be able to spot us in the crowd by our fashionable and funky Qube Team Shirts!
If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause please click here, to open a new window to the Just Giving website.
Make sure you watch this space between now and May to find our how our sponsorship is going, see the pictures and of course, how we did!
