you learn a new thing everyday
No matter the size of your organisation, we know how hard it is to find employees with the right skills and motivation.
Apprenticeships are often the answer.
Enrol your staff onto an apprenticeship programme and you can be sure that he or she will develop the skills that you need. Very soon they will be proving themselves by making a real contribution to your business. That means that they will be better motivated and far more likely to remain loyal.
After all, in many cases, it will have been you that gave them their first big opportunity.

what are the components of an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are split into a number of core components:
- • employment rights & responsibilities*
This is designed to give an outline of what an individual's rights and responsibilities are within the organisation, such as understanding statutory entitlements as well as recognising principles andcodes of practice.
- • technical certificates*
This is knowledge based and adds depth to the core of the programme. An example is the City & Guilds Certificate in Customer Service.
- • key skills
These have been specifically designed to develop skill and confidence in applying communication and numerical ability in the workplace.
- • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)
This is a nationally recognised qualification that defines the skills and knowledge required for a wide range of businesses and industries.
Unlike so many other qualifications, the NVQ is not academically based but is designed to practically demonstrate how well the employee can perform their job, according to a set of national standards.
* Some Apprenticeships involve all of the above components, while others only have three. The NVQ and Key Skills are in all of our Apprenticeships. The Technical Certificate and ERRs depend upon the specific qualification.
what are the advantages?
- • free for your business as they attract government-funding (region specific).
