previous experience
Sam's background is in freelance brand development, working with small businesses to develop a corporate image; defined by appropriate elements of design, marketing and PR - with a strong emphasis on use of technology and the internet. Many of the clients Sam worked with previously were part of the hospitality industry including restaurants and bed & breakfasts. The focus for all of these projects was on 'knowing and understanding the customer' and developing an image that clearly matches this understanding.
Sam joined Qube in 2005 on a similar basis to his previous work and has since then become increasingly incorporated into the structure of the company. Initially his role was to develop the brand image of the Qube Group, set up and run a marketing department and develop the internal and channel sales functions.
Sam is committed to developing his skills and experience within his current role and is currently working towards the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) qualification in ASP.NET - in order to do this he is continuing to develop a bespoke, web-based system for Qube which is used to track the learner's journey from enrollment to completion.
Sam is a keen sportsman and particularly enjoys playing football regularly.
