Ian Bamford - Operations Director

roles & responsibilities

As part of the Senior Management Team Ian’s key role is focused on the strategic direction of the vocational delivery of the organisation.

Ian is also responsible for the vocational delivery team. This includes driving high levels of performance and achievement whilst ensuring quality and compliance is maintained.

previous experience

Ian’s background is in the hospitality sector. Ian has worked in the training sector for 16 years. Most recently he has been self-employed as a consultant specialising in training, inspection and quality. He has worked with a number of different organisations including OFSTED as an associate inspector and City & Guilds as an external verifier. He has carried out over 100 inspections over a 10 year period, this has been across all remits and includes many leadership and management and quality improvement inspections. Ian has worked in both worked-based learning and further education sectors.
