We have a Skills for Life opportunity available; in the East Midlands (ideal location Leicester area). This is a fixed term contract position for 11 months.
Skills for Life Learning Advisors support our learners on a one-to-one bases to gain the appropriate Numeracy and Literacy qualifications. Each learner completes by passing an online test.
The right person will have good communication and interpersonal skills and some understanding of the NVQ process would be ideal. A full driving license and access to a car for work is essential.
Job Purpose
• Planning training and assessments with the learners and employers
• Coaching and guiding the learner through their qualification
• Providing continual feedback and support to learners
• Organising and invigilate the online test
Essential Experience and Skills
• Minimum grade C in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Full driving license and access to a car for work purposes
• PTLLs*, CTLLs** and DTTLs*** qualifications
(Cert. Ed would exempt you from requiring these)
Desirable Experience and Skills
• Relevant occupational qualifications (As above)
• Independent / field-based working
• Relevant experience in work based learning
• Understanding of the NVQ process
